Queen Lili'uokalani Canoe Race Shuttle

 

Body Glove Cruises is offering their 65' catamaran, the Kanoa II, to transport race participants and spectators.  Crews will make their exchange from Kanoa II to canoe (men's teams) or canoe to Kanoa II (women's teams) out in the bay at Honaunau.

The only way to book this shuttle is by full six-person crews.  Crew exchanges are made from the stern of the vessel.  Spectator bookings are round trip.

The Kanoa II will follow along the women's race to the finish at Honaunau.  Canoes will then come along the side of Kanoa II and crews will transfer.

The Kanoa II will return with the men's race.  In the later stage of the men's race, the Kanoa II will move ahead so all passengers can unload at the Kailua Pier before the men's crew finish.

This is a great way to watch the race and enjoy the coastline (and no driving or parking headaches), so schedule with us now for Saturday, August 31, 2013.

* Women racers should send a post race bag with the men to have on board when they finish.

Cost for Transport

$26.79 for racing crewmembers (one-way)

$53.58 for spectators (round trip only)

For children under 5 and younger, please consider that the round trip will be approximately 8 hours and there is nowhere on board to lie down.

We took my mother on the dinner cruise a few weeks ago while she was here visiting and had a great time! I learned so much of the history of this area that I did not know and had the best laulau I've ever eaten! The cruise and music on the way back were a perfect end to our night!
